OVRFWRD is a critically acclaimed four-piece Minneapolis-based instrumental band weaving a tapestry of rock, progressive, and jazz, challenging musical boundaries and the standard genres. One music critic describes their work best: “A  cinematic journey, requiring attentive ears and listening.”  

 

I’ve had the privilege of creating artwork for all seven of their albums. Working with OVRFWRD is my ideal creative process—they provide the album and song titles, plus an advance copy of the music, and I’m free to develop my own artistic interpretation with no set direction. I present several cover concepts for the band to review and vote on. The highest compliment? When they struggle to pick a single winner, because every option resonates with them. All winners. That’s how I know I’ve done my job.
